After my first week in New York, I can say that I am definitely NOT in South Carolina anymore. Everything here is so different. I feel like a college freshman trying to navigate my way around campus to my classes all over again. This was the first week of classes, and of course there were introductions for my smaller lectures. Once I said where I was from and what my home university is, everyone was excited to know that I am a Gamecock. Apparently we are well known and people think we are the best (because we are!) university in SC. GO COCKS!!!
One thing I have noticed about Queens College is that the student population here is more diverse than the student population at USC. The students here have came from so many countries and other states for various reasons like sports, new experiences, more freedom, etc. Everyone brings their own religion, styles, personalities, etc. to campus and are not afraid to show who they are. I love that about being here. I can learn about so many different cultures and the experiences of others, while sharing information about my culture and experiences here in America. I have not had the chance to go explore the city yet, but I will be going soon. I will be sure to post lots of pictures and share all of my exciting experiences. Hi! I will be attending Queens College in the Big Apple this semester! I am so excited to explore the city and all the opportunities here for me. I have a very long list of things I want to do and places I want to go. I just cannot wait! Queens College is a very beautiful campus. My classes start tomorrow, and I am ready to see what they have to offer academically. I will continue to post and keep everyone updated on my adventure!
